Students

The East Baton Rouge Parish School System will administer an applicable norm-referenced assessment for qualified students in grades 4-11 who applied during the 2017-2018 Application Period on the following date(s):

To qualify for an assessment, each student must apply and:

·              (1)  Have submitted a complete online application before the application
      period ends and;

·        (2)   Meet the minimum grade point (2.5) average requirement for the
      program the student is applying.

These students will be notified by mail regarding their assessment results.

In lieu of the district assessment, parents may submit acceptable norm-referenced standardized tests taken during the 2015-2016 school year, which include:

 ·       -Stanford

·        -IOWA

·        -Terra Nova

·        -California Achievement Test (CAT)

·  -Metropolitan Achievement Test (MAT)

If a student who is currently enrolled in a private, parochial or home-school program does not have test scores for the 2015-2016 school year, the application will be marked “Pending Testing” until an applicable norm-referenced test score is available or the Fall 2016 district assessment is taken, whichever comes first.

Finally, if a student’s application is marked “Pending Testing” and the student does not attend one of the two testing dates listed above, the application will then be marked “ineligible.” The student  must then reapply during a subsequent application period for schools and programs with seats still available.
