STEAM education will be the instructional focus for Park Forest Creative Sciences and Arts Middle Magnet School. The STEAM concept utilizes all of the thematic components to get students excited about science, technology, the arts, and mathematics, which all flow into the study of engineering.

The thematic components (Animation, Robotics, Coding, Entertainment Technology, and Renewable Energy) promote the use of scientific inquiry and the engineering design process. Additionally, STEAM concepts will be an integral part of the core curriculum through the use of project-based instruction. Using the principles of creative three-dimensional animation and engineering, students will learn the basic theory of design and explore animation and its use in designing objects.
