Sherwood Middle Academic Magnet is a high school preparatory and college/career readiness dedicated academic magnet program. The school's mission is to empower students with academic knowledge and skills necessary to successfully handle a rigorous high school preparatory and college/career readiness curriculum in a diverse setting.

Since learning with technology is a priority in our classrooms, student 1:1 use of Google Chromebooks plays a major role in classroom instruction. We also incorporate innovative software like MyMathLab, with Eureka Math to support fluency while gaining conceptual understanding of Mathematics.

We also offer challenging courses for high school credit, which includes French I and II, Spanish I and II, Algebra I and II, Geometry, Physical Science, World Geography, Multimedia Productions, Latin I, Keyboarding Applications, and Media Arts. Enrichment classes such as Robotics, Pre-Law, Forensic Science, Marine Science, and Game, Web and App Design offer students enhanced learning opportunities.
